For spring break, the flock in North Carolina headed to Oak Island for the week. The weather was beautiful, the ocean front beach house was comfortable and everyone had space, there were fun games to play, books to read, lots of walks on the beach, shell collecting, kite flying and a bit of exploring now and then.
On the drive down we stopped at Carolina Beach to get a dozen or two of Britt's Doughnuts. . . hot, yummy goodness. We took the ferry from Fort Fisher to Southport and then on to Oak Island. We choose Oak Island because they allow dogs on the beach.
Griffin loved the beach and the birds, the naps and all the walks. Getting hosed off wasn't a highlight, but he managed to muscle through it.

Lots more smiles. . .but then again, how can you not smile when you are at the beach. Oh that every vacation was at the beach!
